Meet and Greet Session

The adventurers' meet and greet session at a local bowling club on Friday was a roaring success. Exploratory tales of bygone days were exchanged with the many senior locals who were there. A highlight of the evening was Diamond's father regaling the group with stories of his Antarctic adventures. The evening was capped off with Horse demonstrating how with limited resources and survival techniques he could capture enough meat to feed a family of 6. It has been decided that at least one adventurer will be in attendance at the club every Friday.

Mount Keira Expedition

The adventurers went for a hike on the Mount Keira ring tack today. They took the walk up to the summit and then descended via the Dave Walsh track. The adventurers then took the ring track back around to the starting point in Mount Pleasant. Stay posted for the update on the Adventurers' Club site. A new member led the walk today! Can you guess who it will be?

Sun beckons the adventurers on the way to work...

Larry quickly snapped this photograph of the sun while traveling to work with Horse and Diamond in the boxer powered club car #3. Opened the back window, aimed and shot. The clouds and colours made for a nice scene.

Diamond's Broker's Nose photographs are now online

Diamond's photographs of the Broker's Nose adventure have been placed online. His photographs provide an excellent insight into how variable the weather had been during the course of the morning. It ranged from a wet, foggy and cloudy situation through to a bright and sunny environment. Diamond's photographs superbly capture the moods and colours of the adventure as well.

Broker's Nose Conquered

The adventurers embarked on another expedition... a bush walk to the peak of Broker's Nose. The peak was formally known as Brooker's Nose however local historians believe that the miners at the Corrimal Colliery below the peak renamed it Broker's Nose because they were always broke.

Burst water mains thrills the adventurers...

While driving home last night I spotted this a fountain of water where one should not be. I proposed to fellow adventurers, Diamond and Horse that we should investigate. I redirected the club car in the direction of the fountain and it was not long before our keen navigation skills led us to the centre of the action. I captured the photograph and movie. It was soon stopped by Sydney Water.

The precarious telegraph pole...

Nearly every day I and my fellow adventurers notice this telegraph pole leaning rather precariously in Figtree. I wonder if it will ever topple over? Are they still called telegraph poles? I think they no longer carry telegraph wires.
